Sharpe Engraving was established in 2003 in Batley, West Yorkshire. After 14 successful years there, engraving for individuals and local sports clubs, Ruth Sharpe and Mike Norton have moved to the beautiful Isle of Skye, where Sharpe Engraving is now based. With over 20 years experience in engraving, Ruth and Mike are confident of being able to supply a fast and flexible engraving service to the island's community. We look forward to meeting you.

I thought we'd just give an update as there has been lots of engraving done in the last few months. Also, in addition to updating the annual trophies, if you need any new trophies, cups, shields, awards or medals providing for your event, we can supply everything you need. Been very busy at the Dunvegan and Portree shows over the last couple of weeks. Many thanks to everyone who has brought me their trophies to engrave prior to the shows. Am now ready for all 2018 winners!

Engraving tip: reuse / recycle old shields and cups. To prolong the life of an annual shield, the oldest of the annual plaques can be removed and fixed to the back of the shield, allowing the newest winner to go on the front. You can easily get another dozen years of winners on a shield this way.

Have just engraved a couple of shields. The customer had been given a wooden annual shield and wanted to reuse it for their club. I needed to buy in the centre shield and curved shield for the top and then engrave them, as you can see in the pictures. However, stupidly I didn't take a picture of the completed shield! Note to self - next time take pictures of the whole project!
