Took a little trip to Kimmeridge yesterday it was a tad chilly with a damp mist But.. had a lovely walk & while others were fossil hunting I was more interested in all the textures! Really beautiful ❤️

Sunday morning walk Sandbanks beach. 😎 Beautiful sky rippled sands & lovely clear sea 🌊🚤 picked up coffees on the way back & chill!
Maybe some sewing 🤔☺️😉

Actually stated this last year & only just got round to finishing! Typical me! 😂 Anyway it was originally a dress not unlike the last pic. Sorry pic got chopped. I did not take any photos throughout the transformation process but to recap….
The cut off hem became the sleeves. The braid was added to make bigger & a little Broderie Anglaise trim added to the hem. Both braid & trim were from my stash & dress was preloved.

Trying to use whatever blue tone threads I already have without introducing any other s & not buying any!

Got home from work on Friday to find 2 little parcels waiting for me! Oh happy days lovely pieces from .early_ for me to repurpose & yes you always need more even if you don’t use them straight away! Some gorgeous dangly earrings from . Thank you xx

Decided to go with some embroidery! Just finding inspiration working colours & drawings so I have a clear plan!
This will take me a while as I’m not particularly quick with my embroidery but I will post pic when I’m finished. I may also change the buttons 🤔

Picked up this linen waistcoat for £2. Thought it needed saving! Yes it needed a couple of seam repairs which don’t really show when it’s on but there’s one thing i really dislike & that is fake pockets 😱
So as you can see pockets added not pretty but functional! It needs a wash after I’ve resewn the lining.
I’m wondering if I should add some appliqué or embroidery to add some colour & to disguise the mends? 🤔What do you think? Feedback appreciated!
