Morning all - quick opening update

In order to observe the Falkland War Memorial Day in Falkland Square this morning we will be open slightly later at 11:05 in order to observe the 2 minute silence during the service in the square

Lots of Model of the Month’ing done today together with people having a go at the lucky dip! (You plenty of time to join in the lucky dip it’s running all month with entries in by July 4th )

We are back tomorrow for more including a mini game recreating the 40K launch trailer as the Land Speeder takes on the Dakkarig!

You can also still preorder the Armageddon box in store and claim your exclusive coin already to unlock something else later this month!

I’m also on hand for any hobby help you need throughout the day.

Well the Armageddon preorder couldn’t happen at a better time as it’s my Birthday today so I know what I’ll be ordering for it tomorrow! No surprises that I’m going to be doing the Ork side and of course it will be Bad Moons!
I’m also going to do the Painboy for the lucky dip painting challenge and actually enter for once too!

Better question though is if your getting it which side will you be doing first and how will you be doing yours?

ARMAGEDDON ACTIVITIES PART 1: June 6th-21st

Saturday 6th:
• Preorders, check out the models and box content
• Model of the Month Build & Take Saurus warrior available takes up hobby space.
• Lucky Dip Painting Competition 40K Characters begins
Draw a random 40K character from the box, buy it build it and paint it ready for July 4th ( or buy a specific one you want to do / use a character from the Armageddon set ).

Sunday 7th - Friday 12th
• Armageddon mini games show casing new rules
• painting showcase on painting power armour Red/Yellow/Blue
• Learn to paint green skin - bring your model of the month and see how use base/layer/shade or contrast.
• Bookable Battle Honours as usual.

Saturday 13th
• Learn how to create missions
• Basing show case - how to create scenic bases and texture paint ash waste themed

Sunday 14th - Battle Honours bookings

Tuesday 16th - Friday 19th
• Armageddon mini games show casing new rules
• painting showcase on painting power armour Green/White/Black

Saturday 20th - Launch Day! Collect your preorders or pick up up a copy

There’s so many cool things and amazing little details in the New Armageddon box from sculpting homages of classic models to little details.
I loved building these two - the Land Speeder is a fantastic modern take on an iconic model and also has little details like a grove for a flying stand if you want to go old school and a spare sensor array if you choose to do so and not use the smoke plume! You can also swap out the under hull gun as can build both flamer & assault cannon!

The Dakkarig is so easy to build and looks fantastic as a centre piece and its legs make it fit perfectly in with a horde of Killer Kans & Deff Dreads!

We got nearly everything built and you can check all the models out in store. While our hobby space on Saturday will be taken over by Model of the Month from Sunday you’ll be able to battle it out with these two models and recreate the scene from the trailer. Bring a friend and see if the DakkaRig can take out the Speeder before it’s able to get a strafing run in!

JUNES COLLECTOR COIN - SPECIAL INFORMATION

You may have noticed that this months collector coin is slightly different to celebrate the launch of 11th edition 40K

This Armageddon Campaign badge replicates the design featured on the vambraces and banners of the Marines Crusading on Armageddon.

This Month the Coin is exclusive to when you purchase a copy of the Armageddon launch box IN STORE either from pre order ( June 6th) or on launch day (June 20th).
The Coin will also unlock something else later this month so stay tuned for more information!

To claim your coin either

A. Come IN-STORE and place your pre order via the store terminal and pay via the store till. You can use both physical and virtual vouchers at preorder as it’s a web order done in store.

Pre Orders placed from home for store delivery will not qualify for the Coin as payment must go through store till ( orders placed in store can of course still be set for home delivery ).

Option B. We will have 40 copies for sale on release day ( June 20th) and you can pick one up then and claim your coin*. We will be taking a limited number of reserves on store copies for people not sure about preordering but wanting a copy on release day.

The very sad news has broken about a true hobby legend. Seeing his art in the pages of 40K & Epic is what drew me personally in to the hobby. Let us know your favourite piece of his art and join us in celebrating his work.

It is with great sadness we learned of the passing of John Blanche.

John was an artistic powerhouse whose unmistakable style was a unique lens through which many of us came to know and love the worlds of Warhammer. John was also a friend and mentor to many of us here at Games Workshop. Our heartfelt condolences go to his family and friends.

The universe John helped create is a big place. He will be missed.

June hobby has started full tilt with yet more awesome work on display!

Tom brought in his completed Slaves to Darkness Spearhead which he added some extra characters to including a converted mounted Lord and a fantastic Harbringer of Decay to be his Sorcerer!

Mark continues to grow his Tyranid Swarm after painting over 2500pts for Million Models challenge. Loving the toxic base on Deathleaper!

Steve has completed his Space Wolf starting force he’s been hard at work on with stunning results! There’s brilliant work especially detailing all the tags on the chainsaws and some very striking mow hawks! ( we hope to show of his Logan Grimnar soon )
