I snapped this photo when we were driving home last Sunday. The Barry Festival of Transport had just finished and the roads were full of classic vintage cars. I particularly liked this bus with an original 1970s safety campaign advert 🤜🫨

It was such a lovely surprise to open the doors to our first visitors today... Keith Brymer Jones and Marj Hogarth popped in for a visit whilst they're in Cardiff for their "Us, Pots and A Welsh Chapel" evening at the New Theater

Happy Birthday, Annwn! Our house giraffe turns 7 today. Born in Ireland and once known as Blonnys Star, she ran 38 races in Oxford before retiring. After that she spent two long years in holding cages… until the wonderful SWW Greyhound Trust stepped in and gave her a second chance at life

A few weeks ago we made it official and adopted her after a month of fostering to see how she'd settle in with the rest of the animals. She completely ignores the cats (yay), and all of them except Chopsy (naturally) have decided she's acceptable company. Even the chickens aren't fazed by her, and vice versa

She's a nervous girl, easily spooked and not a fan of other dogs or anyone in hi-vis but it's cute when she tries to hide behind us. Walks can be a bit of an adventure, so we take her along the top forest road where she can wander on her long lead and relax a bit

Despite everything she's been through, she's gentle, well-behaved, and slowly learning what home life feels like. We're so proud of how far she's come already. Happy birthday!
