Dear Cabineers,
With a heavy heart, we must share the news that we have made the difficult decision to close the Juice Cabin. It pains me to write this post, as I have dedicated myself to keeping things running and preserving Les' remarkable legacy.
I want to emphasise that we are not closing our doors immediately. Our website will remain operational for orders until Thursday, June 22nd, and the last orders will be shipped on Friday, June 23rd.
We understand that this announcement will be disappointing for our loyal customers worldwide.
The brighter news is that Simply Leaf, our wildly popular NET brand may still hold strong. I am currently in discussions with prominent industry players who are keen to establish a foothold in the NET va**ng market. It is my sincerest hope that the side of the business that Les worked tirelessly to establish will endure.
I want to explain why we have made this difficult decision and the mitigating circumstances that have led us to this. As Bob Dylan wrote “the times they are a-changing." Firstly, Liam, one of our talented team members, has made the brave choice to pursue a new career as a mechanic. Although it was challenging for him to share this news, we wholeheartedly support his decision. Liam's passion for cars and his youthfulness make this a positive move for his future, and we wish him all the best. We have no doubt he will excel in his new career.
The escalating costs of maintaining the Juice Cabin have made our current operating model unsustainable. Expenses such as gas, electricity, rates, materials, and shipping have all surged dramatically over the past year. Faced with this, we are left with two options: further reducing our margins, passing on the increased costs to you, or compromising on the quality that we hold dear. Frankly, none of these choices resonate with me.
Additionally, the uncertainty surrounding incoming regulations and updates to TPD (To***co Products Directive) has compounded our concerns. We all witnessed the significant impact of previous regulatory changes, and the prospect of navigating more shifts looms large.
We had anticipated a restructure with plans in place to relocate to a dedicated facility that would support our transition into a full-fledged manufacturer. However, with Liam's departure, I personally find it challenging to manage the business single-handedly under our current operational framework.
As we bring this chapter to a close, we cannot express enough gratitude for the unwavering support you have shown us over the years. On behalf of Les, Ann, Liam and myself, I want to convey our deep appreciation for the love you have showered upon the business since its humble beginnings in the original cabin all those years ago. Through ups and downs, we have forged cherished memories and made lifelong friends.
From the bottom of our hearts, thank you all immensely.
