Yorkshire plumber Alan Marcon is travelling back in time to offer his customers a Peaky Blinder of a service.
Instead of his trade’s traditional messy overalls, Alan pitches up on doorsteps as the country’s most dapper drains expert, after taking a leaf out of the BBC hit drama’s style book.
Alan, an oil heating specialist who runs York based Green and Reliable says: ‘I hope I’ve always offered peak standards of practice - now I’m just taking it a bit more literally’.
His new working wardrobe includes a tweed cap, waistcoat, trousers and a pair of brogues.
‘My customers reckon I should re-name myself the Gentleman Plumber’.
Alan is no stranger to innovation, he turned his van from diesel to veggie and is planning a Guinness world record later this year. Watch this space.
