It’s day one of the and it was also our wedding anniversary yesterday (the legal one, not the one these gorgeous images are from).

The prompt is how we met. Dan and I met at university. We both studied fine art: he specialised in photography and painting, and I was sculpture. He was it the army reserves at that point, but he always planned to be a marine. We had the best silly fun while on student nights out, and he would always walk me home. It took six months for him to actually realise we were more than just friends though!

We got together in 2013 and only military deployments have kept us apart since. Whenever we are drunk on nights out together, although exceptionally rare now as parents, and we are super silly together still.

HELLO!

I’ve been very lax with March Meet the Maker this year, which is the result of going back to work part time as a primary teacher, so I’m starting half way through!

So, I’m Madeleine.
I’m an artist. I have always lovely portraiture, so I specialise in portraits, but love painting in general! I actually specialised in sculpture at university though.

I paint custom leather jackets and shoes, personal and pet portraits and I also sew largescale, and smaller, fabric banners, normally all with a rock n roll edge!

I’m also a mum to a two and a half year old called Ozzy, a primary teacher, and military wife.
