🌞 Summer Solstice 🌞
I’ve been feeling pretty dark this past month but the setting solstice sun worked its magic last night and I’ve carried its glow with me into today.
I scrambled a mile across the moors on my own, in sandals with an almost-dead-phone and no blanket, torch or water just to catch it… (sorry Mum) and I’m so glad that I did.
•I had a tor to myself,
•watched a pair of orange butterflies circling one another below,
•bathed my freaky little needle-felted Litha sunshine in the setting sun,
•asked some questions and pulled some cards,
•said aloud everything in my life that I felt proud of and let them get whisked away in the wind,
•saw some bones,
•watched cotton grass blow in the breeze, reflected like little white starts against a setting sky in the boggy puddles,
•collected some white wool (which will be added to my felted Litha sun) and a black feather and made my way back to the car,
•smiled at all the couples, families and individuals who were out gathered and soaking it all in.
If anything could lift a low mood… it’s this ❤️
