🎄 CALLING ARTISTS & MAKERS! 🎄
Christmas planning is officially underway at Sage and Salt Studio, and this year we’re looking for a small number of established artists and makers to join our specially curated Christmas collection for November and December.

We're looking specifically for original, beautifully made Christmas products that will complement the work of the 70+ independent artists and makers already represented in our Petersfield gallery.

Think handmade Christmas decorations, ceramics, glass, textiles, festive homeware, original art and beautiful giftable pieces… but we’re very happy to be surprised too!

The details:

✨ No rental fee
✨ 35% commission on sales, including VAT
✨ Carefully curated selection
✨ Stocked in our Petersfield town centre gallery

Please note: this particular call-out is specifically for Christmas products, rather than general ranges or products that would simply make lovely Christmas gifts.

If you think your work would be a great fit, we’d LOVE to see it. Applications are now open and close on Thursday 10th September.

Successful applicants will be contacted by Thursday 17th September, with stock delivered towards the end of October ready for our Christmas collection to launch in November.

Do you choose artwork because it matches your room, or because it simply makes you happy? 🎨

We’re firm believers that the things you surround yourself with should bring you joy, and sometimes that means choosing the piece that catches your eye, makes you smile, or reminds you of somewhere you love.

Tania Wilkie’s colourful collection is inspired by so many of those feel-good things: the sea, wildlife, nature, travel and the beautiful places around us. Working across watercolour, oils, acrylic and pastel, she creates pieces full of colour and personality.

Alongside her paintings, Tania also creates handmade textile pieces, so there are plenty of ways to bring a little of her creativity into your home.

As part of Hampshire Open Studios, we’re open today from 10am–4pm, so come and have a browse, discover the work of our 8 visiting Open Studios artists and explore the gallery.

🌙✨ A wonderfully therapeutic afternoon of metal embossing! ✨🌙

We had such a lovely afternoon in the Studio today creating these beautiful embossed aluminium moon phase artworks.

There was something surprisingly therapeutic about the process. Dot after dot after dot, slowly embossing the aluminium by hand and watching each moon begin to take shape. It’s one of those wonderfully repetitive crafts where you can switch off, chat, create and completely lose yourself in what you’re doing.

Once all of our moon phases were finished, we mounted and framed them, ready to take home and hang.

Such a gorgeous afternoon spent creating together, and definitely a workshop we’d love to bring back again. Perhaps one for the 2027 calendar! 🌙

Hampshire Open Studios starts THIS SATURDAY!

We’re so excited to be taking part in Hampshire Open Studios 2026, with eight fantastic artists exhibiting with us at Sage and Salt Studio for the full ten days.

📅 Saturday 22nd – Bank Holiday Monday 31st August

Our gallery will be packed with an incredible mix of locally created artwork, giving you the chance to discover new artists, see their work up close and, of course, take home something special.

We’ll be open every single day throughout Hampshire Open Studios, so there are plenty of opportunities to pop in and explore the exhibition.

And even better, some of our exhibiting artists will be joining us in the gallery on selected days, so you can meet the artists, chat to them about their work and find out more about how they create. Swipe through to the final slide to see who you can meet and when.

🌧️ Rainy Thursday? Teenagers getting a little bored of the summer holidays? We’ve got you!🎨🧶

This Thursday afternoon, I’ll be running our Textured Yarn Wall Art Workshop, especially for tweens & teens aged 10+.

They’ll choose from a selection of shapes and designs, then use loads of colourful yarns, wool, textures and embellishments to create a funky piece of wall art for their bedroom.

It’s creative, relaxing, completely off the screens, and a great way to fill a couple of hours if the summer holidays are starting to feel a little looooong! 😆 And with rain currently looking quite likely for Thursday, an indoor creative afternoon might be just the thing.

🙌 Parents & guardians have options too!
Drop them off and enjoy some child-free time, stay and support them while they create, or book yourself a space and make one alongside them.
