3 pieces I'm currently working on to get finished in time for the showcase exhibition at the Bield… ha, wish me luck!

Every piece begins with raw wool fibres, which I wet felt by hand to create the background. I then needle felt all the detail directly onto the surface, before adding the finishing touches with hand embroidery.
There are no shortcuts. Every piece is slowly, painstakingly and lovingly made by hand, from the first loose fibres to the final stitch.
Once framed, it becomes more than just a textile piece — it’s the result of a transformation. No machines, no shortcuts, just wool, time, patience and the physical process of fibre becoming art.
It basically takes bloomin' ages! But every piece is unique and not hurriedly mass produced and that's something I'm very proud of.

If you’d like to see more of my work — and hopefully these finished pieces 🤞 — I’ll be at The Bield from 29th August to 13th September, every day except Mondays.
For those two weeks, The Bield will become my temporary little “studio”, so as well as seeing my finished work, you’ll have the chance to catch me in action, doing ma thang! Thoroughly looking forward to sharing that space with and

There will also be art on display from lots of other talented artists taking part in Perthshire Open Studios. You can pick up a brochure while you’re there, discover where everyone’s studios are based, and perhaps plan a wee tour to visit some of them too.

I can't annoy my fellow Creative Exchange studio buddies as they're in a different room (did they specifically request that? 🤔🤣) but we are all here and looking forward to a busy day.

Wee pile of floofiness!

Having a lazy morning in bed with a coffee and this wee cutie (I think its a cat 😂🤔).

Had a lovely couple of days at the Innerpeffray Summer Fayre. A massive thank you to everyone who popped by for a blether, a browse and a bit of shopping — it was so lovely seeing you all, however I am now officially all talked oot 😂
So today’s plan is a lazy morning then this afternoon it’s a Watson family day out to the cinema to see the new Spider-Man movie. 🕷️🎬.
Yay, popcorn! 🤣

Hope you are all having a lovely Sunday.
