Evergreen Dolls began as a hobby after I came across a post about repainted fashion dolls on the Internet. I liked the idea of creating dolls that look like real children, and that celebrate diversity. All the dolls I use are second hand, sourced mainly from charity shops. All of the work on the dolls is done by hand - from repainting the faces, to the clothes, to casting new feet in hot glue usin
g silicone moulds I make myself. I love making each doll different, and seeing their little characters develop as I paint. I try to reuse or recycle materials wherever possible. Much of the fabric used in the dolls clothes is cut from real clothes, and all of the packaging materials are reused and completely recyclable.
