Just had this beast come in 🔥

Tama Mastercraft “The Bell Brass” 14x6.5” snare.

3mm cast bell brass shell, with Roller Action snare mechanism and Superstar lugs.

50th anniversary reissue of the legendary 1980 Bell Brass snare, made to the same specification as the original.

The drum is in mint condition and could pass ‘as new’, and comes with the original unplayed batter head too.

British Drum Company 5pc kit in Wiltshire White:

24x14”, 22x16”, 13x8”, 16x16”, 18x16”.

Formerly owned by Pete Salisbury of The Verve, The Charlatans and Black Rebel Motorcycle Club.

The majority of the kit is ‘Lounge’ series with 9-ply African mahogany / Scandinavian birch shells with 30-degree roundover bearing edges.

The 22x16” bass drum is ‘Legend’ series with 10-ply Scandinavian birch shell and 45-degree bearing edges.

Considering its life as a touring kit, it is in good overall condition and has clearly been well looked after. There are a few small cosmetic marks from use, along with some pedal rash to the rear bass drum hoop, but nothing that detracts too much.

You can see which drums have seen the most use over the years. The 22”, 13” and 16” have developed a slightly deeper/darker tone to the Wiltshire White finish compared with the less-used drums, but this isn’t too noticeable when set-up together.

Back from some time off with these beauty’s 😍

Ludwig Classic Maple ‘Jazzette’ Outfit in Black Galaxy Sparkle:

18x14”, 10x7”, 12x8”, 14x14” - 7-ply cross-laminated North American maple shells.

Great sizes; these were probably a custom ordered configuration with the additional 10x7” tom.

The Black Galaxy Sparkle finish is awesome and was only offered for a short period; a reproduction of the super rare 1960’s wrap.

The 10” and 12” toms have had iNDE BR3 universal tom brackets fitted, which replace the original lug and require no extra hole drilling.

The bass drum has had an XLR port fitted and a Kelly SHU bass drum mic mount for easy gigging!

The kit has a couple of minor marks on the wrap, but is generally in great condition all around.

18x14”, 10x8”, 12x8”, 14x14” - 6-ply hybrid maple/mahogany/maple shells with 45-degree edges.

Rare 18” bass drum, and with standard depth toms too… a real delight ☺️

The kit is structurally sound but has been gigged, so is sporting a few marks here and there.

DW MFG True-Cast ‘Prototype’ Bell Bronze Snare Drum 14x5”.

This drum was the very first prototype True-Cast 14x5” drum ever made.

The drum features the same Bell Bronze shell as on the production model, the only difference is the chrome hardware instead of the machined brass.

The DW MFG True-Cast Snare Drum is a limited snare drum built in collaboration between longtime DW artist and collector, Dave Elitch, and the DW R&D team. This one-of-a-kind snare drum is assembled in the legendary California Custom Shop.

The snare features a sandcast and machined Bell Bronze shell that offers a contoured interior shape ranging from 5mm to the top and bottom edges to 3mm at the center. The beefy drum delivers fat, low-end punch that does not choke out at any tuning.

Absolute beast of a drum!

Rare beast with us today…

90’s/00’s Fibes Austin era 5pc maple set & fibreglass snare 🤠🔥

22x18”, 10x8”, 13x9”, 14x10”, 16x16”, & 14x7” snare.

The kit has all-maple Jasper shells. Jasper was the OEM shell manufacturer for many of the major American drum companies, most notably producing Gretsch’s legendary maple/gum shells for over four decades.

The snare has a classic Fibes fibreglass shell, renowned for its powerful sound and made famous by Buddy Rich, who used one throughout much of his career.

These Austin era kits are very hard to come by, and even more so in the UK.

Yes, the sizes are slightly odd.. I figure there must have also been a 12x8” tom at some point.

Lovely kit regardless and in nice condition all around.

Had plenty of XP-8 kits in over the years, but really taken aback with these… the finish is sooo nice 👌

In super condition all around too - just a few small dings here and there.

Just been re-headed all around; Remo clear Emperors on the toms and a Powerstroke P3 on the bass.

Stunning condition 1970’s Premier ‘303’ Outfit in Black Pearl:

20x14”, 12x8”, 14x8”, 16x16” - 3-ply African Mahogany shells with beech re-rings.

The kit has had a very easy life and still has the stock Everplay heads fitted all around.

The tom holder is a later Rok-Lok holder, which is a nice upgrade with no extra holes drilled.

1970’s Ludwig ‘Super Classic’ outfit in Black Cortex:

22x14”, 13x9”, 16x16”, 18x16” - 6-ply maple poplar shells.

The 18x16 is slightly earlier than the rest of the kit, with the pointy Blue/Olive badge.

All original from what I can see, other than the floor tom legs on the 18”.

Lovely kit - sometimes you just can’t beat a classic Luddy in black 😍

A few light marks here and there, and some pitting on a few bass claws, but generally in nice and clean condition for the age.
