🌟COLLECTORS PIECE🌟
This 35.5cm ingot was smelted as a test ingot by the Bolitho family in the mid to late 1800's, their smelting houses were situated in Chyandour, Penzance and was one of the main smelting houses in the Penwith area which smelted material until 1912 when the works closed and then unfortunately demolished in 1930. These test ingots do not pop up for sale very often and if they do, they're usually sold through auction as they are a highly collectible piece and fetch a very high price. Thanks to Bill for bringing this beauty down to the shop, a real piece of history right here! ⛏️🪨

We’ve had some absolute beautiful pieces made just for us down here at Geevor Tin Mine! All of these new pieces have been cast with a percentage of tin from the very last chunk of Geevor tin excavated in the 80’s, which was hiding away in the back of the St.Justin warehouse untouched for years! Alison at .ltd has been brilliant in helping getting all of these limited edition Geevor tin products ready for the shelves!

Over the past couple of months we have been trying to get our hands on a substantial collection of pre-loved mining and Cornish history books, and with some help from some local collectors here we have our little preloved book shelf looking lovely and packed with a load of beautiful books! So feel free, pop down and have a look through what we have to offer! 📚🌟

I recently had the pleasure of receiving a whole lot of new beautifully hand crafted wire-work jewellery from Keri Bowden, her work is absolutely amazing and the intricacy of each piece blows my mind! Intertwining wire in and around gems and crystals to create these one off pieces, you really need to see them to appreciate the work that has gone into each piece, so why not pop down?! 🤗
