Top all-rounder and specimen angler Duncan Charman headed to the south coast yesterday in the hope of landing his first shore caught bass. Fishing at close range with squid, taken from one of our handy packs, mounted on a pennel rig it wasn't long before the rod arched over and this little beauty put a smile on his face.

Fishing a couple of hours into darkness two further bass bites were missed however another fist, a small smooth hound picked up the bait as well as three dogfish.

Apologies to Kent based James Clifton, -89 as whilst looking in the hashtag baitbox folder we picked up this image of a cracking smoothound, one of a few that he took one evening back in May.

Another big pike we missed just before we launched our social media platforms late last year was this cracking twenty caught by Jim Rodger,
Jim used a BB sardine to tempt the beauty and knows the importance of using the freshest bait possible, that’s why he always reaches for our deadbaits.

Another big pike we missed just before we launched our social media platforms late last year was this big twenty taken by Blair Davidson It came on a real red letter session which saw Blair take two twenties including this personal best, two nineteen’s and a back up 15! We know Blair loves our trout deadbaits and suspect this is what this big girl came too.

Lost but not forgotten!

When we created our Insta and FaceBook platforms late last year, little did we know that there were anglers catching some great fishing on our baits and promoting these by placing them in a # folder named Baitbox. This # folder also contained other images from a South African tackle company hence the reason we decided to use so that we could see those promoting our deadbaits.

Thank you to all those anglers that placed images in the old folder and sorry that they weren’t found earlier, however over the coming weeks I’m going to do my very best to feature these and get them in the folder.

First to appear is gazz_2020 with this long, lean, night feeding fighting machine and his last pike of the 2022/23 which was taken on a Baitbox sardine.
