Delicate, fairy like flower crowns, full of woodland whimsy. This was so special, an elopement wedding in the Lake District, just the two of them. The brief was locally grown, full of colour, natural flowers… I couldn’t love this one more 💕💕💕.

Just a snippet of yesterday’s beautiful wedding for Rachael &Josh 💕. looks stunning as it is, but we wanted to make it a little extra special. Couples often use this spot for photos, the steps make great staging and the portico? creates a strong frame for the images. So a floral accent was the perfect design, foam free, natural, organic, stunning. Huge thanks to my mildly hungover husband for his moral support while I was up the ladder 🪜 😁

After a few hours hard work in the garden I needed a little bit of creativity. I’d seen this technique recently on insta and wanted to try it for myself. Instead of using the traditional spiral method, I created a framework and added flowers in. The wire structure kept the bouquet open and airy, while supporting the softer stems. Perfect for more delicate flowers, light, wispy, full of movement. What do you think? Yes No?

60 minutes condensed into 60 seconds, with lots of restructuring and adjustments along the way. A gorgeous colour palette, loved using the Lilacs, they smelt heavenly.. enjoy 🥰

What a great way to spend the day 🌸
Today was our second florist and flower grower meet up, a really informal few hours, with wonderful like minded people. Wedding floristry is quite a solo experience, often working on our own and not having the opportunity to meet our peers. Days like today give us chance to meet our Instagram colleagues, put faces to names, share our successes and challenges, eat cake and if you’re really lucky, have cuddles with tiny babies 🥰. Huge thanks to for accommodating our large group, and the restaurant team for looking after us 💕💕 Next meet up will be in the autumn, when we can all breathe again 🍂

A peek into my world as a wedding florist 🌿

No two wedding days are ever the same, there’s always a nervous anticipation at the start, a vision of how I want everything to look, and the magic and madness of making it happen.
Finishing touches to tiny ikebana bowls and buttonholes, bouquets getting their final check before being presented to the bride.
And my favourite part, the big installs, wild wedding arches, overflowing urns , wild floral romantic creations. It’s messy, physical work and I absolutely love it.
There’s always a moment where I take a breath, and remember that this is your day, the day you celebrate your love, and my florals are a tiny part of that. It’s a wonderful feeling 🌸

If I had to choose my dream wedding set up here in the Lake District, honestly I don’t think I could. Give me a historic country house with climbing roses and candlelight, a relaxed barn filled with wild, just-picked florals, or an intimate little elopement somewhere quiet with the mountains as your backdrop… I’m in my element every single time.

Truthfully, I don’t have one “dream” style… I just love love in all its forms. Big celebrations, tiny moments, all of it 🌿

If you’re planning something up here (whatever it looks like), I’d absolutely love to be a part of it 💐
