To learn to play fast ... 1. Learn slow or memorise so you can play with no mistakes. 2. Play for 30 seconds and increase bpm by 5 until you can no longer comprehend your own playing. 3. Reduce bpm by 5 and play in 5 seconds bursts.
Playing with mistakes is good. You simply slow down when mistakes happen. But you have to play fast with mistakes too so you train your brain, nerves and muscles to work fast.
P.s. I am on holiday in a hotel room practicing.

Develop your picking hand with one exercise. Choose the slowest tempo that you can play 16th notes (4 notes per beat) and start exercising right now! Increase the speed by 5bpm for every 30 seconds of playing.

This beautiful Schecter Diamond Series Omen Extreme is in for a setup with 10-46. It has EMG-X active pickups. The setup went well, shame I am not able to fully appreciate it's playability as it is a lefty, but waiting for the owner to come over and try it out 😍
