This week we are highlighting ‘Me Before You’ by Jojo Moyes!

If you want a book that will make you laugh, cry, and everything in between, then Me Before You is perfect for you! This book made me feel emotions that I didn’t even know existed. I’ve re-read this book multiple times and it never disappoints. A slight warning though, don’t read the ending in public if you’re an emotional person because it will have you in a puddle of tears. Despite this, I can’t recommend this book enough! It’s a story that will leave a lasting imprint on your mind and you’ll never be able to forget it!

📚📖This weeks book recommendation from Jess is James by Percival Everett! Here’s what she had to say about it:

James is not a book I would normally pick up, but it was recommended to me so many times that I thought I would give it a go. I’m extremely glad I did because it has become one of my favourite books from this year! James is a re-imagining of Huckleberry Finn, and follows Jim’s story. Although it grapples with the real-life horrors of US slavery and the traumatic experiences of its victims, there is also humour and satire throughout the book. This is a story that will leave a lasting impact on you, and will introduce you to some aspects of the history of slavery that you were previously unaware of. It is so beautifully written that it will captivate you, have you laughing and crying (sometimes at the same time), and ensure that you remember it for a very long time.

If you’re looking for a great read, come and pick this fantastic book up from us! It really is a great one!
