With very high temperatures expected across West Lancashire this week, we’d like to help spread the important advice shared by West Lancashire Borough Council.

⚠️ An Amber Heat Health Alert is in place across the North West this week.

Hot and humid conditions are expected across West Lancashire, with temperatures remaining high overnight and little opportunity to cool down.

Please take extra care and look out for others, particularly:

👵 Older people
👶 Young children
❤️ People with heart, lung or other long-term health conditions

Simple steps can make a big difference:

After being made redundant from his role as an accountant, Neil took a leap of faith and turned his passion for baking into a thriving business – and we’re all very glad he did!

❤️ A Taste of History

What makes Neil’s products truly special is his use of an original gingerbread recipe dating back to the 1700s, helping to keep a unique piece of Ormskirk’s heritage alive for future generations.

One of his most memorable customer moments came when a gentleman travelled all the way from France to buy cakes after seeing Neil featured on The Hairy Bikers.

Wow — the response to our Love Your Local Market celebrations has been absolutely amazing so far and today is no exception! ☀️❤️

There’s a brilliant atmosphere around Ormskirk Market today with lots of people out enjoying the sunshine, browsing the stalls and supporting all of your favourite traders 🛍️

We’ve also got FREE face painting for the little ones 🎨 plus our superb Gingerbread Trail — where you even have the chance to decorate your very own gingerbread creation until 2:45pm 🍪✨
