🤗 Welcome Arabella!
Arabella has a passion for reading and is finishing her twelfth book since the end of term!!

Arabella and mum travelled a distance to pop in to The Snug today to see for themselves what we are like, after looking us up online. They wanted an independent bookshop with a passion, hosting a wide selection of books and with fun clubs.

✍️ Arabella has now signed up to our fun, monthly bookclub for teens that she read about on our website.

Clubs for Adults, at night in The Cherry Tree and children's, in the Pancake Parlour at 4pm.

📚 THE COUNTDOWN IS ON:
Only 5 DAYS TO GO!

📚Next Tuesday, 21st July at 7pm, we are officially launching our brand-new Non-Fiction Book Club in the Hipwell room upstairs at the lovely and newly refurbished Cherry Tree Restaurant in Olney!

I have been sorting through the shelves to pull together an incredible and diverse selection of starting titles to choose from.

At our first gathering, we will be voting together on our very first group read from this brilliant stack:
✨ Franco by Giles Tremlett,
✨ Just Visiting This Planet by Neil deGrasse Tyson,
✨ The Finest Hotel in Kabul by Lyse Doucet, and
✨ Atomic Habits by James Clear.

Moving forward, this club belongs to you. Members will nominate the book ideas each month alongside my curation. We will explore history, science, journalism, politics, human habits, and real-world stories together.

🤗 I’ll bring the books you choose every month in lieu of the next bookclub date so it’s seamless. You’ll receive your chosen book for the next club at the end of each club you attend.

🙋‍♀️ I feel compelled to publicly express my deep gratitude to you. A family pet in pain is very upsetting particularly for their young owners. Your approach was so capable and reassuring.
