I can’t get enough of this fabric from . I have used it for 2 bathroom windows in this house, I made a cafe curtain and a roman blind. Lovely, light filtering and very very pretty. This is a single width fabric but Beaumont have some gorgeous double width embroidered voiles too for long curtains - so if you are looking for something that looks a little more special, at a price that won’t break the bank, make an appointment to see our samples.

A customer’s chair, reupholstered in this very popular Helter Skelter FR fabric from Linwood Fabric. I have a large selection of Linwood pattern books in the studio and know the collection well so can recommend weaves for headboards or linens for curtains and everything inbetween. Whether it’s a show stopping pattern or a plain natural weave - I have you covered! Book an appointment to view and samples can be sent direct to your home.

Did I mention about this transformation? Just swiping through my phone and realise I may not have shared quite a few furniture glow ups! This is a lovely sofa (I love the single large seat pad). Customer wanted a bolder upgrade and chose this fabric from Linwood Fabric. Our customer has an identical sofa available and ready for reupholstery - if you want a very comfortable bespoke sofa just for you please get in touch!

Blinds, box cushions, pelmets, candle shades… just a few of the items delivered this morning to a couple of customers. One was an old cottage where the lines are all wonky and the other was a new build with less difficult angles to navigate! Everything fitted well. Always a relief!

It’s never simple taking time away from The King’s Cupboard - fabric samples, stock ordering, quotes, fitting schedules and more all party in my head 24 hours a day. So, when I booked a festival at the other end of the country, it’s had little room in my head until the 15 minutes have just spent throwing things in a bag. And off I go! Hoping all those brain cells holding customer curtain measurements can enjoy some live music. Have a good weekend. Be back soon x

A little project I have been working on… an update to a holiday cottage in Norfolk. Working with the bones of the cottage I introduced new fabrics and changed window dressings to make the rooms feel cosy and inviting. On fitting day I moved pictures around to hang them in better positions to pull the rooms together, and added some shop bought cushions and throws. (NOTE: Not everything has to be bespoke - especially not in holiday homes where items can take more of a battering - and can wander off!) Lots of tweaks with items already on site can also make such a difference.

When picking neutral fabrics for your projects think texture and detail. I’ve just completed these two Roman blinds ready for fitting tomorrow and love the combination of this textured fabric with fan edge trim. The chair, for another customer, required an update and we have chosen this chunkier linen with a double piped trim for some extra detail.

Hello! Three fittings completed today. The screwdriver came out when I needed to move the tracks to fit the curtains neatly behind the pelmets which was a bit more of a sweaty marathon than a sprint fit. Then on to a kitchen with a colourful single curtain, blind and matching seat cushions to brighten up the room. I finished the tops of the pleats on the last pair of curtains at the studio and fitted them on my way home. The customer used to make curtains herself and the first thing she said when we were chatting about the fittings I’d completed that day was “your shoulders must be aching”. And, ouch, she was so right. Neck and shoulder strain is definitely part of the job. It was lovely to have her understand. By the time I left her home it was gone 3pm and I hadn’t stopped for lunch. I went to my bag to grab my keys and what did I find? She had hidden a creme egg in my bag! Three very happy customers and a chocolate hit. I’ll take the aches and pains when that’s the reward. The creme egg was gratefully devoured before I left the drive. Happy Easter everyone 🐣😘
