It's the weekend folks which means it's time to get out and sample some of the amazing sea fishing on offer all across the UK!

We recently shared some amazing bite footage from Ollie Goodwin, aka Solent Fish Hunter, where one of our Surf 8K Beach rods completely arched over under the pressure of what turned out to be a new personal best smooth hound for Ollie! As you can tell by the pictures, it's one hell of a fish!

If that's not inspiration to get out this weekend, we don't know what is!

We are extremely proud to have been a joint sponsor of this year's Sea Angling Classic which unfolded over the course of the weekend! Just take a look at all those Okuma goodies up for grabs!

The Surf 8K/Flite Surf combo has seriously been put through its paces over the last few weeks! It was Karl Bird Fishing's turn to give his set-up a cast on a beach mark with fish of all sizes reported. Among the species were thornbacks, small tope, smoothhounds and the obligatory dogfish! Beach fishing at its very best 💪🌊

Definitely not the species that Ollie Goodwin expected to catch during his evening lure raid for bass but you can't grumble at a large spotted ray on light gear! 💪 It had his trusty Ceymar SW rod tested to its limits but there was only going to be one victor!
