Keep section 1 firearm & section 2 shotgun licensing separate. I think this would help to protect law-abiding owners, the shooting industry, & rural communities. Policies should focus on real public safety issues without burdening responsible citizens or damaging heritage & livelihoods.

We urge all UK shooters to sign the BASC petition to halt the proposed merging of Section 1 (Fi****ms) and Section 2 (Shotguns) licensing, if you haven't already.

The last thing we need is shotgun owners being wrapped into the restrictive delays of S1 certificates. Police fi****ms licensing departments are stretched enough as it is. If it ain't broke...

The UK lead ammunition ban rollout was announced today, covering rifle calibres 6.17mm (.243) and larger when used away from ranges with reasonable lead control measures.

Edit: 6mm Creedmoor sadly not an option, off to ELD .224 options we go.
