🚧 Road Closure Update – We're Still Open! 🚧

Just a quick heads-up for anyone planning to visit us over the next few weeks. There are currently two road closures nearby which may affect your journey to Jacksdale Garden Centre, but we're open as normal! 🌿

🚧 Road Closure 1 – Jacksdale to Westwood
This affects customers travelling from Underwood / M1 Junction 27.

Alternative routes:
➡️ Travel via Brinsley (down Brinsley Hill), or
➡️ Use Palmerston Street and enter Jacksdale from the opposite side.

📅 Road closure in place until 31st August.

🚧 Road Closure 2 – Victoria Road, Ironville
Located just down from the primary school, this affects customers travelling from the Riddings / Ripley direction.

Alternative route:
➡️ Travel via Somercotes / Pye Bridge.

📅 Road closure in place until 11th August.

The summer holidays are officially here, and our Sand Pit & Children's Play Area is ready for weeks of adventure, digging, and pirate fun! 🏖️⚓

Every day that Bloom & Spoon is open, we'll be hiding ONE Pirate's Coin somewhere in the sand pit... 👀🪙

Find the coin and bring it to Bloom & Spoon to claim...

🌸 🌼 Dave's Plant of the Week – Echinacea! 🌼🌸

If you're looking to add a splash of long-lasting summer colour to your borders, Echinacea (Coneflower) is a fantastic choice! 🌿 Bursting into flower through summer and well into autumn, these hardy perennials are loved by both gardeners and pollinators alike. 🐝🦋

🌱 Dave's top planting tips:
-Plant in a sunny spot for the best display.
-They thrive in well-drained soil and are happy once established.
-Water regularly while they're settling in, then they'll cope well with drier spells.

One of Dave's favourite tips? Don't deadhead them all! 🌾

Leave those beautiful seed heads standing over winter. Not only do they add interest to the garden during the colder months, but they're also a valuable food source for birds, who'll happily feast on the seeds when food is scarce. 🐦❄️

A plant that's beautiful, easy to grow, pollinator-friendly and supports wildlife through winter... what's not to love? 🌸💚
