Nottingham Transport Heritage Centre Model Railway Exhibition,
in association with Nottingham Model Railway Society
Saturday 16th & Sunday 17th May 2026.

This looks like it will be a great weekend for the railway and model railway enthusiast. Combine the model railway exhibition together with two giants of steam - Tornado and Flying Scotsman both at the Great Central Nottingham/Nottingham Transport Heritage Centre over the same weekend.

Nottingham Model Railway Society Spring Exhibition 11th/12th April.

This weekend we return to St Johns Church Hall, Nottingham Road, Hucknall. NG15 7QN for the NMRS Spring Exhibition - see club website for more information https://www.nottingham-modelrailway.org.uk

Our shop will be open midday (or possibly earler) to 5pm to allow for show set. Orders for show collection by midday on Friday please.

Please note a change to the show hours on Sunday to allow better car parking facilities after the Church service.

Easter Opening Hours.

It only seems five minutes since Christmas but Easter is nearly with us. We wish everyone a happy and peaceful Easter.

Our Easter Hours will be:

Good Friday 3rd April - CLOSED
Easter Saturday 4th April - Open
Easter Sunday & Monday - CLOSED
Re-open on Tuesday 7th April 10am - 4.30pm.

Please note any orders placed online or by telephone over the Easter weekend will not be processed until Tuesday 7th April due to Post Office Easter closures. 0115 9266290.

Shop Closed

Our plans to open the shop tomorrow from midday have been thwarted! Due to unexpected circumstances we will only be at the show and the shop will be closed tomorrow. Our sincere apologies to anyone intending to visit the shop tomorrow. This is completely unavoidable.

Just a reminder regarding a great local show over the weekend at the Cotgrave Welfare - see our last post for a link to the clubs website for more information.

South Notts Model Railway Show 28th/29th March 2026

Disabled visitors / wheel chair users will have a reduced admission charge as some of the exhibition is only accessible via steps.

We have imported the fantastic range of Merkur Styroplast walling and building sheets for a number of years. The business has recently changed hands with the owner currently moving manufacturing to a new base. We are therefore only able to supply items from our existing stock. Mansfield Model Railway Exhibition 7th/8th March 2026.

Next weekend is our annual trip to Mansfield for the model railway exhibition at St. Peter's Church, Church Side, Mansfield, NG18 1AP.
Within walking distance of Mansfield Town station the show benefits local Scout Youth Work therefore a great event to attend.

There is a good possibility our shop will be closed on Saturday 7th March. Please give us a call if you intend visiting the shop 0115 9266290.

Syston Model Railway Society Exhibition 2026.

This weekend we will be at Birstall Social Club, 16-18 Wanlip Lane, Birstall, Leicester, LE4 4JS (WHAT3WORDS /// CAKED.BOUGHT.LANCE).

17th & 18th Jan, 2026

10:00am - 4:30pm (4pm on Sunday)

Unfortunately the shop will be closed on Staurday and we apologise to our customers but why not come to the show? The weather looks good for a drive down to just north of Leicester - Glad it wasn't last weekend!
