We’re out of the office/workshop.
WHY because we’re finally celebrating our marriage! 💍

Good old covid came along just as we were about to have our big wedding day, after a long engagement we went into lockdown and well yeah the world went crazy with the pandemic. We became parents (in masks) and we almost lost loved ones from the ‘nasty virus!’ After we regrouped and were so thankful for our family to still have all its members, in the third UK lockdown we had a restricted wedding day, legally married but not that full day we’d initially planned! My dress has been finally altered, I have florist flowers this time, a wonderful cake to cut, a lovely car to arrive in not ours, church bells will be rung this time and we will have hymns. Our actual wedding day was so lovely the sun came out after rained very early that day and it was soo warm it was wonderful! We had a new local photographer socially distanced who gifted us 100s of photos and helped her start a new career with a portfolio of our wedding, I will forever be thankful of this as law in lockdown was a funny one and it stopped so many things.
Yes I’m already MRS BROWN, but let’s celebrate with more than just a handful of people.

Happy Earth day 2022 🌎
This years theme is to invest in our planet!

We make our toys from wood as it’s a fabulous resource that’s eco friendly.

As a mum I try to reuse, recycle and renew so many aspects of our day to day life so my son will have a Earth that’s still great for him.

It’s so easy here are a few things I can think of off the top of my head.
We don’t use many wet wipes we uses wash cloths instead, this is great at mealtimes and after messy play sessions. He has second hand plastic toys for the garden that we’ve saved from going to landfill. These plastic toys look sun bleached but they’re still great and functional, we will pass them onto another child once outgrown. Hand me down clothes, fantastic for our busy guy who gets muddy and needs more than one outfit most days. We’ve had second hand clothes still with labels on as they were outgrown by previous owners, these were saved from land fill! Could you imagine! My husband has a fully electric car, we are happy to chat with people as it charges at service stations on how great and easy electric transport is. I grow my own fruit and vegetables, something my son loved from a young age to go eat a strawberry or tomato in the garden.

Three type of trees, lighter, darker or snowy. My little boy loves playing with these creating a forest and adding our woodland creatures of hares and squirrels 🌲
