Myself and family and friends would like to say a huge thank you to Paul, Leanne, Sue and everyone at J Gedge & Sons funeral directors for their wonderful support during the planning of my husband Bob's service this weekend. The kindness, consideration and professionalism we found was a testament to the Gedge family who have handed over the reigns generation after generation. They helped us give Bob a very loving and dignified send off or such a loving and dignified man. Thank you all dearly. x

We'd also like to thank Norfolk Bluebell Wood Burial Park for the beautiful surroundings and facilities for Bob's funeral service. The family run business was a perfect, beautiful place to remember a wonderful man and say our final goodbyes.

Also to Woodforde's Fur & Feather and Brewery Shop who provided somewhere lovely for us to gather as a family with friends for food and drink and exchange our memories of Bob following the service.

Lastly, thanks to Jane and Andrew at Keepers cottage Hemblington for booking our families from the US and Germany, into their beautiful holiday cottage at last minute allowing them somewhere beautiful and tranquil (not to mention dog friendly) to stay. https://www.norfolkcottages.co.uk/cottage/oc-13566-keepers-cottage

Dear friends and customers,
We wanted to say a big thank you so much for all the kind thoughts and messages following the death of my husband Bob, they have given us all so much comfort.
I haven't had a chance to read them all yet but I will soon.
Bob's funeral will be on Friday so the shop will be closed from Thursday afternoon until Tuesday.
We truly appreciate all the support we have received and we are warmed by our wonderful community.

Dear customers,

We would like to apologise if you find us closed intermittently for a few days upcoming.

Very sadly Ann’s husband, Bob, passed away in the early hours of Friday morning.

He passed peacefully having been constantly surrounded by Ann and his family and friends at Priscilla Bacon Lodge following a fight with cancer.

Bob and Ann have had a wonderful and happy 25 years together that saw Bob always being a steadfast love and support for Ann as well as his family and friends whom he loved quietly but deeply.

Many in the area may know Bob simply as the characterful man who often took deliveries for Blofield Florists but aside from his, sometimes interesting routes around the villages, Bob had lived an incredibly full life in his career in the RAF prior to retirement. Serving for approximately 40 years and rising to the rank of Squadron Leader, Bob was also greatly honoured to be awarded an MBE by the queen.

His loss will be felt greatly by everyone that was fortunate to have been touched by his mischievous, occasionally eccentric but always sincerely loving character.

He leaves behind wife Ann, children Mark, Louise, Liz and Lucie and Katie, all with their respective families and Bob’s adored grandchildren, not to mention his closest friends who will also feel his loss greatly.

You have been loved by so many Bob. You will be greatly missed xx
