Taverham Aquatics Fantastic selection of aquatic products sold by our knowledgeable staff. Open 7 days a week at Taverham Nursery Centre. Plus 2 plant bays.

Taverham aquatics currently has over 200 well stocked sales aquariums of livestock including , 131 tropical (of which 14 are specifically for stendker discus, 16 african cichlids, 6 neo caridina shrimps and 14 softwater). We also 14 coldwater/ temperate, 2 turtles and 1 for axolotls. On the marine front we have 50 marine tanks and 2 coral bays. We also have 22 pond fish vats and pond plants ( in season).

Lots of new aquarium and pond fish on sale now. Including these stunning Celebes rainbows. A very peaceful fish for a quiet tropical community aquarium. Full lists in the comments asap….

GOOD NEWS- the fish room temperatures have dropped 2c overnight. So just about all the aquarium lights are now back on. Sorry for any inconvenience caused in the last few days of the latest heatwave.

Please note yesterday’s post still applies. Plus we have taken the cold water aquarium fish off sale for now. With this lovely cooler weather today, we should be able to shift some residual heat and be back to normal soon.

Please note- due to yet another heatwave we have had to turn off some of our fish room lights to help keep the temperatures within normal levels. We are still selling most fish currently and hopefully after today the fish room temperatures will start to drop again. 🤞

Something completely different today, freshwater pipefish!!!!!! These are red face pipefish ( microphis leiaspis). Fascinating fish, but not the easiest to keep. To keep these successfully you will need a quiet tank and lots of live food. Whilst these fish can be kept in freshwater, this batch arrived in brackish conditions (so we are currently adapting them over to freshwater).
