Head of Communications - Closing date Friday 19th April 2024
Could you be the voice for Norwich Pride? We are looking for an articulate, passionate, and organised individual to lead the Norwich Pride Communications Team, to tell the world know all about our annual event, and our campaigning activities.
The successful candidate will have experience of effective communication to a range of audiences, using multiple methods - from social media, to press releases, public speaking, and written articles.
Working with the social media team, the Head of Communications would take guidance from our Trustees and other members of the Organising Team to create planned and reactive content for posts across our social media accounts that are timely, and in line with Norwich Prides core values, and reflect our agreed positions on domestic and global politics and other cultural issues affecting LGBTQIA+ people.
Community Connection – Closing date Friday 19th April 2024
We are looking for a passionate, responsible, and organised individual to take the lead in connecting Norwich Pride to the community we serve. This role suits someone who is interested in other people, and their experiences.
The candidate should be able to build meaningful and trusted connections with the diverse LGBTQIA+ communities in Norwich, to make sure our campaigning activities, annual Pride event, and online presence reflects the reality of all LGBTQIA+ people living in the city, using our platform to amplify their voices with equity and respect, and to inform Norwich Pride when taking a position on world events.
The successful candidate will be supported by the Norwich Pride Organising team and our Trustees, and will connect with our internal advisory groups, and with local community and grassroot groups and organisations. The role should also develop new connections with local and national LGBTQIA+ organisations to broaden the range of voices Norwich Pride hears when planning our events, and when responding to world events affecting LGBTQIA+ people.
Schools Week Lead – Closing date Friday 19th April 2024
We are looking for a passionate, responsible, and organised individual to take the lead creating a program of events for Norwich Pride Schools Week 2024 – 24th – 28th June.
The successful candidate will manage a budget to deliver events for students and teachers to attend, either physically or online.
The candidate will be supported by the Norwich Pride Organising team and our Trustees and will connect with our existing teachers network and other partners. The candidate should also develop new connections with local and national LGBTQIA+ organisations to deliver the program, which should focus on sharing best practice in supporting LGBTQIA+ students, and challenging prejudice and discrimination in schools.
