Inspired by our visit to the Rebel Women of Sunderland exhibition the ambassadors from our I.N.I.T.I.A.T.E group are developing a project to recognise and celebrate people (past and present) from the North Shields community who have inspired them or haven't had the recognition they deserve. If you would like to nominate someone please email [email protected] or collect a nomination slip from Phoenix DYP.

A lovely morning spent at The Li'l Community Hub + Soundbites needlefelting local scenes and things we love. Can you spot Fiddlers Green, Angel of the North, Millenium Bridge and wildflowers inspired by local meadows including the Salt Market ramp/stairs? Needle felt scenes will be repeated at another workshop soon! Feel free to suggest any North Shields, Tynemouth, North Tyneside or local landmarks for our inspiration
