A piece of history in a brand-new Avalon D15MH

Some guitars have a story before you even play the first chord.

The Avalon D15MH features Brazilian Mahogany with an extraordinary history — timber that had been naturally seasoning for more than 135 years, having been stored by the same family outside Seville, Spain. No kiln drying. Just over a century of natural ageing, waiting for the right opportunity to become something special.
Avalon secured this remarkable reserve of timber and put it to work in a new generation of instruments, bringing together a truly historic wood with Avalon’s renowned craftsmanship.

The Avalon Bouzouki — much more than Irish Trad. 🎶
The bouzouki has become an iconic instrument in Irish traditional music, but its distinctive tone and versatility make it equally at home across a wide range of musical styles.

From Irish Trad and folk to acoustic, contemporary, singer-songwriter, rock and world music, the Avalon bouzouki brings a unique voice to any musical setting.

Handcrafted in Ireland using carefully selected solid tonewoods and featuring Avalon’s distinctive design, our bouzoukis are made to deliver a combination of style, sound and playability.

It was fantastic to welcome so many up-and-coming traditional musicians to the Avalon booth at the Belfast Fleadh. We were very glad to welcome Simon Crehan and Fionn O'Hanlon of the band Peterstreet on the Avalon booth

What an incredible few weeks it's been! 🎶✨

A huge thank you to everyone who visited the Avalon factory during TradFest and the Belfast Fleadh. It was a pleasure welcoming musicians, music lovers and visitors from near and far to share the Avalon story.

From seeing our guitars being handcrafted by our skilled team to trying out a range of guitars, bouzoukis, tenor and baritone models, it's been fantastic to see so many people experience what makes an Avalon instrument so special.

If you missed us during the festivals, don't worry—our doors are still open! We'd love to welcome you to our Newtownards factory over the coming weeks. Come and play a range of instruments, meet the team, and discover the incredible craftsmanship, passion and attention to detail that goes into every single Avalon guitar.
