House Murrell

House Murrell Maker of Odditys, Trinkets and Usefull Things. Welcome to our crafting haven! Each piece carries a story of its own, shaped by nature and time.

We are passionate about upcycling and transforming discarded materials into beautiful, unique creations. Our journey begins right in our local community, where we source our ingredients either by hand-scavenging around the area or striking deals with local businesses to go through their scrap material heaps. Our driftwood comes from family walks along Teignmouth and Shaldon beaches, with some fasc

inating finds along the Teign River. For live edge timber, we collaborate with Buckleigh Farm Sawmill and Log Yard. The owner generously allows us to explore his scrap pile before it’s logged for firewood, letting us rescue and repurpose these precious pieces. In addition to our beachcombing and sawmill adventures, I work with AP Building Services, a local building company. Through various renovations, I have access to a treasure trove of materials that would otherwise go to waste. My colleagues are also being trained to set aside any interesting finds, adding to our collection of upcycled treasures. Our commitment to sustainability and creativity is at the heart of everything we do. While we may need to source new materials in the future, the core of our work will always focus on giving new life to waste products. Thank you for joining us on this creative journey. Every piece we craft has a unique story, and we’re excited to share them with you.
