π Customer: "My iPad won't charge."
π Apple: "We can help with that."
Customer: "Great, can you repair it?"
π Apple: "No."
Customer: "Can you diagnose it?"
π Apple: "No."
Customer: "What can you do then?"
π Apple: "We can arrange a dignified funeral and sell you a new one."

Luckily, the customer came to me for a second opinion before attending the memorial service.
The cause of death?
A faulty charging port.
The cure?
A new charging port.
One hour later, the deceased had made a full recovery and was back among the living.
It's fascinating how a device can be declared beyond saving by one place, then walk out of another place fully repaired an hour later.
Moral of the story:
Before you bury your device, make sure it's actually dead.
Sometimes all it needs is a repair. The only thing that should be thrown away is the idea that replacing everything is the only solution. π§β»οΈ
