Day 17 of Drawing Geometry, using Eric Broug book, Islamic Geometric Patterns. Pages 41-42. This is a detail from the Capella Palatina in Palermo.

I am loving creating these patterns! Maybe with time they will grow into something better and more beautiful for me.
They send me into a Zen place that I am very much enjoying and embracing. Starting the day doing something that I very much enjoy is helping to set my day and make it a lot better.
Try it, it might help you too!
Whether it is drawing, exercising, walking, reading, swimming...whatever it is that you like and enjoy and that makes you happy...try it first thing in the morning to set your day into HAPPY 😊

Day 10 of Drawing Geometry.. Sooo many sides!!

Days 8 and 9 of Drawing Geometry
Geometry is all over nature and if we pay attention, we will find it everywhere. These little flowers show it. I love sitting in a garden looking for geometry, symmetry, shapes and "coincidences".
Have a look in your garden and see if you can find any of these. It is also a lovely way to relax and meditate 😌

Day 3 of Drawing Geometry.
Today's lesson is drawing a pentagon in different ways.
Tricky 😕 it doesn't really want to match all the time but managed it in the end. ☺️
Come back tomorrow to see what shape comes along.
I have used watercolour pencils to give them a bit of colour but at the same time show the lines (reminder for myself!)
