Board choice.

A never ending question. What board.

Do you have a go to board? I do. It’s usually one that makes for an easy surf.

Even with a vintage show it’s down to choice. The other week we took a limited number of boards to the Golden Bay Surf Revival and had a guide of 8-10 boards. That’s not easy.

Here’s a spotlight on one we chose.

This is a ‘Bronzed Aggie’ shaped by Martin ‘Gearbox’ Geary. Late 1970s and a locals response to the Bronzed Aussie label which is featured in the film Bustin down the door.

We’re told there were only 4 of these made making this one of the rarest boards we have in our collection. It’s still been in recent action surfing at the and ‘surfs very well’ although a snapped leash incident made us a little nervous!

It’s around 7’ and beautifully made with a plywood single fin.

Is fluro back or just back in the day?

If you weren’t aware we popped up to the Golden Bay Vintage Surf Revival Sunday hosted by

Heaps and stacks of beautiful vintage and collectible surfboards on display. It was great.

We even busted out some vintage clothing 😂

We’re open today 11-4 but also loading the van for the 1st Golden Bay Board Revival hosted by at Westward Ho.

We’re taking some of our very special and extensive collection, a few no one has seen shown before 👀

We have vintage surfboards for sale in the shop along with heaps of other stuff at sensible prices.

Looking forward to catching up with some of the vintage surfboard crew.

How much?

Is it just us or are the price of things getting silly now?
King surfers for 100s Bilbos for £2000!! Or are we just too cheap?

We found this lovely vintage Tiger skateboard at the car boot this week. How much? £600!! Have we missed a total score?

How much somethings worth isn’t always what someone’s asking or (we hear this a lot) how much one is on eBay.

The value of something is what we specialise in.

We passed on the Tiger.
