Welcome to Gwinear's page, you can find information on recent captures from our two lakes, New product releases, upcoming event information, sale information and much more. We are cornwalls most comprehensively stocked tackle shop with everything you could ever need for carp, coarse, sea and lure fishing and we cater for all levels of experience whether you are just starting out or well

into the sport and are looking for premium fishing equipment. We stock most major brands in store such as Nash, Korda, Esp, Sonik, Guru, Matrix, Drennan, Century, Savage Gear, Fiiish, Shimano, Penn, Daiwa, Anyfish Anywhere, Vass to name just a few. The tackle shop is run by anglers, for anglers and with over 100 years angling experience between Ryan, Stuart, Sam, Ben and Roy there is always someone on hand to best advise you and hopefully support you in catching your chosen quarry. Our two lakes on site allow for some excellent fishing:

The Pleasure lake -
A well stocked ex match venue with 55 swims, disabled access and family pegs with toilet facilities, hot and cold drinks and snacks available in the shop right by the lake. This lake is full of fish with 1000s carp stocked upto 26lb, tench, perch, eels, roach, rudd, bream, F1's, carassio, gudgeon. The perfect lake to come for all day action and also a brilliant lake for people to learn and improve their skills on. Its not unheard of for anglers to catch weights in excess of 400lbs in a days fishing. The specimen Carp lake -
More suited to experienced carp anglers looking for a challenge. We allow a maximum of 6 anglers on this lake at any given time (booking essential) and this lake can be fished overnight also. The lake is under lock and key and is fully otter fenced to protect the beautiful carp that live within it and to allow anglers some peace and tranquility on their session. There is a toilet on the lake and access to drinking water and WiFi, the lake is gravel pathed all around which means all of your gear does not get muddy and messy even in the wettest of winter months and parking is right outside the fence line. The lake holds approx 130 carp with over 70% of these fish being over the 20lb mark. The lake record is 35lb 14oz and there are both common and mirror carp over 30lb in the lake with all fish in stunning condition. They can be tricky fish but for those who put the effort in the rewards can be fantastic. The good weather looks to be going bye byes for a bit but it was fantastic while it lasted. Stu, Roy and Ben took advantage of the settled spell to enjoy floater fishing for some hard-fighting Cornish carp. You can't beat seeing the sudden explosion when a scaly one slips up and instantly realises its mistake, followed by the clutch screaming as the battle begins on light gear - thrilling fishing! 🎣🔥
