A bit of cooler weather this week has given us a chance to make chocolates more easily. Hurrah! I'm happy to report that we've been able to add more stock to our website today. Thankyou for your patience with so many of our gift boxes being out of stock in recent weeks. Happy to be able to post out more of your online chocolate orders now :)

If you're looking for something special to end the summer holiday with, we've got something special lined up for you. We've teamed up with the Land of Oak & Iron Heritage Centre Cafe to offer some exciting chocolate workshops. Join head chocolatier Jane Williams to make chocolate Hedgehogs and Ladybirds on Saturday 29th August. And it's not all just for the kids, we've got a special workshop for the grownups too, involving lots of strawberries and summer fruits. Booking can be made via The Land of Oak & Iron.

We're very excited to tell you about our upcoming Marvellous Chocolate and Illustration Event, with the very amazing Hannah Graham Story Teller. You will get to make your own chocolate creations, and learn how to create your own illustration AND receive a personalised chocolate making portrait of your evening by the amazing Hannah. We are sorry to announce that we need to cancel our Chocolate & Illustration Event tomorrow, Tuesday 7th July. I’m so sorry for the short notice, but our lovely illustrator has been in touch this morning to say that she has been unwell in the night, and is not going to be able to come. I know this will be very disappointing, I have been looking forward to this event especially.
All the attendees have been informed by email – but if you get your news quicker here, I thought I’d pop a post on the socials. We are going to reschedule both the morning and evening events on Tuesday 25th August, so current tickets will be valid for the new date. I can also of course issue a full refund to anybody who can’t make the rescheduled event, please get in touch.

Ward Hadaway what a location! I was invited to host a chocolate workshop here this evening, and the view from the 4th floor was fabulous. Newcastle quayside on a summer's evening. Just lovely. Thanks to all the Young Resolution lawyers for being brilliant chocolatiers for the evening!

When i caught up with Philppe last week, he gave me some beautiful antique moulds. I've given them a good clean, but I don't know if they will ever hold chocolate again as they still have a few rust flecks. But I've put them on display on a shelf in my chocolate factory, and they will inspire me to continue the traditions and techniques that Philippe taught me. Very special.
