Some perfumes are all sunshine. This one is not.

Spezieria di San Marco Black Lemon EDP opens with a smoky, tree-matured black lemon accord, sharper and warmer than your usual citrus, lifted with Italian mandarin and zesty grapefruit.

As it settles, soft peony and fig leaves come through, before cedarwood, oakmoss and musk take it somewhere deeper. It genuinely lasts, and it does not smell like anything else on the high street.

This is one for anyone who loves a citrus fragrance but wants a bit more mystery to it.

Ortigia Sicilia Zagara Perfumed Body Oil is one of those products that makes an ordinary five minutes feel like a proper little ritual.

Guerlain Aqua Allegoria Pamplelune EDT is exactly that. It opens with sun-drenched grapefruit, both bitter and juicy, before settling into a base lifted with blackcurrant and patchouli.

That's exactly what Roos & Roos Nymphessence does.

It's hard to describe without sounding a bit over the top, but this one genuinely earns it.

Nymphessence opens with frozen pear and aqueous white flowers, cool and ethereal, and then gradually shifts into the most beautifully balanced woody drydown. It feels like morning light filtering through a quiet forest.

It is a niche fragrance in every sense: thoughtfully composed, distinctive, and the kind of thing you will not smell on anyone else.
