Moonlit nights, flat calm on the surf beaches and an easterly air flow. Not ideal conditions for bass fishing. It is though the perfect time to give a slow sinking needle a bit of swim time once the sun begins to fade. These fish are some that were tempted this weekend on CWolf 110mm x 10g, 130mm x 16g and 135mm x 20g level sink needles fished really slow on a flooding tide over the warm sands. Even the schoolies nearly rip the rod from your hand when they hit. A couple of the double hook ups we had recently in Ireland. The fish were hard to find, at range and needed precise presentation to tempt. The needles gave us the flexibility to work out just what they wanted.

I have been too busy to get any fishing myself this past month but have been hearing of some amazing sessions on the needles recently.
