Hepscott Park HSU

Hepscott Park HSU Hepscott Park Horticultural Skills Unit provides horticultural training for adults with learning disabilities.

We grow and sell plants directly to the public on site. Customers can take a stroll around the gardens and visit Hepscott Park Garden Cafe. The HSU provides work experience in horticulture for adults with learning disabilities. We sell plants direct to the public and grow most of our plants ourselves from seed or cuttings. We produce bedding plants, house plants, hanging baskets and shrubs, but we specialise in unusual herbaceous perennials.

🌱 Our Kniphofia aka Red hot poker plants have finally matured and are giving us their first flowers almost three years after we had sown the seeds at the HSU

☀️ 🍂 These stunning perennials will come back each year with a bright and vibrant display that will bloom all through summer and into autumn.

They thrive in well drained soil and plenty of sun.

One of the them on our sales area is beginning to bloom with a double head! ✌🏼
