The Mold Bookshop is delighted to announce that the Clwyd Crime Festival will be returning for 2026, in partnership with The Wrexham Carnival of Words, Wrexham County Council, and Llyfrgelloedd Gwella Libraries. 📚🫆

Running from the 16th-17th September, this festival of crime literature will bring some of the very best thriller writers and voices in crime fiction to Mold & Wrexham. Get ready for gripping conversations, fascinating authors and plenty of twists and turns, as we celebrate the very best of crime writing, right here in North Wales.

🚨‼️ CHANGE OF TIME ‼️🚨

We are very much looking forward to welcoming all attendees to Mold Library tomorrow evening for our event with Barbara Erskine.
However, due to the extraordinary interest in the solar eclipse, we will be delaying the start of the event and reversing our usual running order, to ensure everyone can enjoy the evening and also watch the eclipse.

Instead of the interview with Barbara starting at 7.00pm, it will now start at 8.00pm, to allow for time to watch the solar eclipse. For those not watching the eclipse, Mold library will be open from 7.15pm, for refreshments and book sales (signed copies of The Valley of Ravens will be available). For anyone watching the eclipse until 8.00pm, there will be a further book signing, following the interview, at 8.45pm.

We appreciate your understanding, and we look forward to seeing you all (and catching a glimpse of the eclipse) tomorrow evening! 🌙☀️

Just one month to go until our event with Seren Hawley-Plows, the author behind The Ancient Ways: A Year of Folklore, Traditions and Rituals to Reconnect with Nature. 🍁💜🌙

Founded in 2024 by two editors determined to help put Wales & Welsh writing on the UK map- each edition of Folding Rock is a beautiful curation of work from artists, photographers and writers from, and connected, to Cymru. As an independent bookshop in Wales it is really important to us to showcase Welsh talent- and with each issue focusing on a different theme, there is something for everyone in each of these titles!
