🐝 Bees Looking for New Homes! 🐝

What started as a small hobby alongside my full-time job has continued to grow beyond expectations. We began this year with just 11 colonies and have now expanded to 26 healthy colonies!

As much as I enjoy beekeeping, it's something I do entirely in my spare time, and I'm now looking to rehome a few colonies to fellow beekeepers or anyone interested in starting their own beekeeping journey.

These are strong, thriving colonies that have been well cared for and would make a great addition to an existing apiary or a fantastic starting point for a new beekeeper.

🐝 The colonies are on National frames and are suitable for a National hive setup.

πŸ“ Local delivery is available throughout West Sussex.

🐝 The bees will be delivered in a nuc box and a National hive will need to be ready for them at their new location. We are happy to transfer the bees into their new hive upon delivery. Ideally, we would swap your empty National frames for our full frames containing the colony. If your hive does not already contain frames and foundation, we can leave the colony on our own frames, although this will incur an additional charge.

πŸ’· Pricing starts from Β£100 per colony.

We are always available to offer advice and answer any questions you may have.

If you've been thinking about keeping bees, looking to expand your apiary, or know someone who might be interested, we'd love to hear from you.

Feel free to send us a message for more information, availability, pricing, or just a chat about what's involved.

🐝SWARMING SEASON 🐝

During the months of May to July it is peak season for swarming, especially with the warmer temperatures we've been experiencing.
A honey bee swarm can look and sound very dramatic and can quite often hold thousands of bees that move in a loud cloud. They normally settle into a cluster within 15-20 minutes.
If you see a swarm, or one clusters in your garden please do not approach it. Although they are unlikely to be aggressive please keep away from them and do not try to move them or disturb them. Keep pets and children away. The best thing to do is contact your local Beekeeper or go to www.bbka.org.uk where you can find a list of local Beekeeper volunteers that will be able to help you.
Provide as much detail as possible to the swarms location, access to it, size and if you can safely take a photo that is very helpful....but do this from a safe distance.

PLEASE DO NOT ATTEMPT TO MOVE THEM YOURSELF OR THROW OBJECTS AT THEM!

🐝🌏 World Bee Day 🌏🐝

Happy World Bee Day!

Bees maybe small, but their impact on our world is enormous. They pollinate the plants that feed us, sustain biodiversity, and help ecosystems thrive.
As Bee populations face growing threats from climate change, habitat loss, and harmful pesticides, World Bee Day is an important reminder that protecting pollinators is part of protecting our future. 🌏

Simple actions like planting bee-friendly flowers, reducing pesticides and supporting local Beekeepers can help our tiny buzzy friends 🐝

So here's to the tiny workers keeping the World blooming, one flower at a time 🐝🌻🌏

🐝 Rendering our Bees Wax 🐝

Not alot goes to waste in Beekeeping. Everything has a use.
Beeswax is great for many things including candles, furniture polish, soaps, lip balms and much more! We render the wax taken off the honey frames and remove all the 'slum gum'. This is pupa cocoons, larval waste, propolis and debris (bee body parts). Once all this is removed you are left with beautiful golden beeswax! Even the 'slum gum' has uses....like fire lighting, fixing holes in beehives, fertilising and swarm lures!
