At the minute things are so hectic… assignments, uni work, normal work, EHCP drafts, poorly child, I’ve been poorly, moving into mam and dads for 12 days to name a few 😫🙈. Hope everyone is having a lot smoother time lately than I am but be assured I can totally relate if not!

How beautiful is this baby girl please 😍?! This gorgeous baby is a work colleagues little girl who has her rabbit that I made for her. She’s giving her lots of love and cuddles which is exactly what the loveys I make need 🥰🤍! Seeing pictures like this make me so happy that the things I create are being loved and enjoyed by others. Also, a little proud of myself 🤏🏻😅. It’s so special being creating things that babies and families get to enjoy and make memories with 🥰.

New Baby Box 👶🏼🤍 - This is something I am super proud of myself for 🥰. Swipe to see all the items up close 👉🏻.

I made this for a gorgeous work friend 🤍. This box was painted an personalised by me. The items were done with yellows and green as the gorgeous couple didn’t know the gender. There is a a dragon lovey, a sheep rattle, a card designed and printed by me, and a lemon and cream blanket with a koala motif asleep on the moon 🤍.

I LOVE how this turned out but my husband questions my hobbies when I am swearing at small, half finished stuffed animals when things aren’t going my way 😂🙈. I promise I do love crafting 😅.

A little bit different to my crochet and sewing stuff but I will keep you all updated on how our chewable lanyard works 🌻🙃. Let’s hope he will chew this instead of his sleeves 😅🤢. And just maybe… the visual will give me back some confidence to take Jack out in public on my own again without worrying about what people say and think 🥰🤞🏻.

Double tap if you aren’t a big fan of change 🙋🏼‍♀️🙈. For someone who doesn’t do change, how much things have changed is just mental?! So for March Meet the Maker day 5 it’s evolution, so we’ll use that word instead of change 😅🙈.

I started drawing on my iPad mainly and still make cards and prints and things. I also don’t make enough time to do digital art but I do love it. Crochet and stuff has taken over 🙈. I fell pregnant, was poorly, so took up crochet to make something for my son. Then, when he needed extra care on the neonatal unit, I wanted to give back to families who go through the same and the charities that have supported us 🥰🤍.

One of my proudest and biggest achievements is in life is those 30 comforters I donated to the NICU at James Cook Neoangels. It was a labour of love, and swear words, but I am so proud I did it 😂. I am looking to do more projects soon and hopefully grow this little account and I’d love to have you all along with me 🥰🤍.

All ready for name tags and donating 👏🏻! These are mainly star blanket ones, some with arms and some without. The star blankets were kindly donated and the patterns for the animals are a mix of , and plus some improvising by me too make them work 😅. Each blanket is lined with cotton and I’m really pleased with them 🥰. The big elephant is slightly different and I’ve only made one of that type. It’s quite big and took a loooonnnnnngggg time 🙈. It was a very early make though. You can tell my early ones as they have my old labels on before I decided to start this account!

30 animal comforters all crocheted and sewn ready to donate to James Cook University Hospital Neonatal Intensive Care Unit. This is where my little boy was when he was born and we received so much support that I couldn't begin to repay them. So that's when I decided to start this and give back to families like us so they know people think about them too. Are they all perfect, definitely not as I have learnt as I've gone. But honestly, in what's been an awful year for me, spreading a little joy has kept me going. Neoangels have told me to get in touch with the unit which is my plan for next week to do a delivery 🚚. Ready just in time for Christmas so each family can have a little Christmas present 🎁

I am definitely wanting to do more. Something special for Leo’s as they've helped me so much too 🥰. I'd love to have you along for the ride while I plan much more going forward 🤍

Today’s gone on forever, I have no motivation and I think having a nap would be the answer to all of the problems 😴. However, I know what really happens is I have a nap and then still don’t do the things I needed to do 😬🙃. Please tell me I’m not the only one who uses naps to avoid 😅?!

What we do and why we do it 🤍🧶⬇️

It’s Children In Need and World Prematurity Day today. As my little preemie boy went off to nursery today in his Pudsey top, it’s a stark reminder of how lucky we are and how far we’ve come 🤍. Prematurity does not end at discharge from neonatal units or hospital ❌. My little one has an a-z of consultants I think two and a half years down the line 🤯.

I set up With Love and Loops to give back to neonatal charities that have supported us and still continue to 🤍. I’m getting so close for the first lot of comforters to be ready to donate to Neoangels and then I am going to start my first project for Leo’s. So many lovely people donated wool and parts of comforters to support me being able to make them 🥰. Plus, my slight wool and pattern buying problem and why my husband will not allow me unattended in craft shops 😬🙈

Hopefully soon, I am going to set up shop 🤞🏻. Maybe sell online and do craft fairs where every purchase gives back into the funds to buy supplies to always continue donating. So each person who buys, is also giving back to a family who has experienced NICU 🤍.

As you will have seen, I’ve been poorly, in and out of hospital and if I’m being totally honest with myself, still feel absolutely awful 😞. Consequently, I haven’t had the energy, focus or will power to do anything. However, this taken me a lot longer than normal but I’ve finished another square 👏🏻💪🏻. This lovely one was created Nanny bears crochet for the Knitcraft Hobbycraft Granny Squarw Month blanket. Although I can tell you what I don’t like about my attempt… I still think it looks kinda cute 😅🤍

This month has been awful 😭. My plan doing this granny square month has fell by the wayside to this as I have spent so much time in hospital 🏥. I started out in James Cook Hospital for 4 days in Middlesbrough where I had a drain fitted. Then, went on holiday to Sundown Adventure Land in a lodge and after two days was admitted to Lincoln Hospital for a week with an horrendous infection from the drain. After days of fighting was transferred back to James Cook for another week inpatient stay and finally got home this weekend. However, I am so, so unwell I barely have the energy to lift myself up most days 😔. So my plan is to get this blanket done by the end of august when I start to feel a bit better. I’m in hospital as an outpatient for the next three days which isn’t ideal but better than being stuck away from my little boy and my family. Let’s hope some decent luck comes my way soon and I can start feeling slightly better 😔🤞🏻.
