Yesterday, a group of young people and our Mini Members got together to attend a Hedgehog Box Workshop, hosted in partnership with Gellideg Foundation Group, to help provide little homes for our beloved local hedgehogs.

The event was a roaring success with 19 young people in attendance, eager to learn more about these adorable animals and get stuck in with handy work. This is an on-going event that has spanned the length of the summer holidays, with 5 workshops having been held so far and 62 hedgehog homes made.

There is still 1 session left to go, so don’t miss the chance to come along, learn some skills and help us help the environment together!

It's World Photography Day today so it's the perfect chance to show off these wonderful pictures taken by our very own MVH Youth Team members!

The outing was the second part of the 'My Community in a Click' project the young people have been taking part in. Learning lots of new skills from local photographers Dan and Lindsey of Kirby Photography.

Membership had a fantastic day in Trefechan on Monday, where community members came together to build 12 hedgehog houses to support local wildlife. We were also pleased to welcome one new member and one mini member to the Membership community. It's great to have you on board!

The event was a great chance to chat with community members and hear their thoughts about the local area, giving us valuable feedback and sparking positive conversations about keeping the community clean and green.

We even had enough materials left over to build an extra hedgehog house, which has now been placed in outside area of our offices at Ty Brychan, creating another safe space for local hedgehogs to call home.

Overall, it was a really positive day, bringing people together, supporting local wildlife and strengthening community connections.
