Our Mini Members Summer Programme is coming to an end, and yesterday saw one of the final activities of the project.

Our Mini Members came together at Ty Brychan for a workshop with Taff Rocks, who provided fun craft activities including making bunting to use at our future events! Everyone had a fantastic time, with our wonderful Mini Members getting stuck in and giving it their best, as always.

We have just one workshop left to go, which will be hosted this weekend by Spectrum Hub for our families with additional needs.

As always, a huge thank you goes to our fantastic Mini Members, their supportive parents and carers, and the wonderful organisations we work with to make these events possible.

We're delighted to celebrate the success of two young people who recently completed placements with us through our Maximise Your Summer programme.

The programme provides young people with the opportunity to gain valuable workplace experience, build confidence, develop practical and transferable skills, and explore future career pathways.

By working alongside experienced colleagues in a real working environment, participants gain a better understanding of the world of work while developing the skills and experience that can support their future ambitions.

Kaylum completed his placement with our Painting Team, where he gained valuable hands-on experience and an insight into a career in painting and decorating.

Keane joined our Electrical Team, and gained a first-hand insight into the role of an electrician and the importance of working safely and accurately.

Well done Kaylum and keane! We wish you every success in the future!

Yesterday, a group of young people and our Mini Members got together to attend a Hedgehog Box Workshop, hosted in partnership with Gellideg Foundation Group, to help provide little homes for our beloved local hedgehogs.

The event was a roaring success with 19 young people in attendance, eager to learn more about these adorable animals and get stuck in with handy work. This is an on-going event that has spanned the length of the summer holidays, with 5 workshops having been held so far and 62 hedgehog homes made.

There is still 1 session left to go, so don’t miss the chance to come along, learn some skills and help us help the environment together!

It's World Photography Day today so it's the perfect chance to show off these wonderful pictures taken by our very own MVH Youth Team members!

The outing was the second part of the 'My Community in a Click' project the young people have been taking part in. Learning lots of new skills from local photographers Dan and Lindsey of Kirby Photography.
