Another mixed parcel has landed at Entertainment World and there’s some great bits in this one.

We’ve got Assassin’s Creed characters including Edward Kenway, Evie Frye and Jacob Frye, a selection of Funko Pops featuring Power Rangers, DC heroes, South Park and more, plus games, DVDs and a few unusual collectibles hiding amongst the mix.

I always enjoy these mixed parcels because you never know what treasures are going to turn up.

Sometimes it’s not all about the big-ticket items…

We’ve just unpacked a mixed lot packed with all sorts of quirky collectibles from some of the biggest franchises around.

Marvel, DC, Batman, Spider-Man, Ghostbusters, Doctor Who, Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles, Darth Vader, King Kong and plenty more.

Lots of loose figures and unusual little bits that make great display pieces, shelf fillers, starter collectibles or simply a fun nostalgic purchase.

🎶 THIS SATURDAY – VINYL SOCIAL CLUB 🎶

If you’ve visited our record department recently and wondered what some of these records sound like when they’re out in the wild, this Saturday is your chance.

Entertainment World’s Rob Hadley will be spinning another Vinyl Social Club session at New Era Coffee Bar in Sheldon.

Expect a mix of soul, funk, yacht rock, Balearic grooves, disco, boogie and groove-led house, all played 100% on vinyl.

🎮 Tour of my retro shop in Birmingham!

Just a quick walk-around to show you how things are coming along here at Entertainment World.

We’re really pleased with the progress so far. The VHS and DVD departments are taking shape nicely, and the response from everyone who’s visited has been fantastic. Thank you to everyone who’s popped in and had a look around.

Next up, we’ll be getting more of the vintage toys out on display, which we’re really looking forward to. After that, we’ll be making a few tweaks to the comic and record departments to make them even better.

It’s been great seeing people enjoy the changes, and we’re excited to keep improving the shop over the coming weeks.

If you haven’t visited for a while, come and have a browse. You never know what treasures you might find!

🎮 JUST IN! 🎮

A fantastic boxed Commodore 64C Terminator 2 Pack from 1991.

What makes this bundle so interesting is the timing. By 1991, the Sega Mega Drive was booming, the Super Nintendo was about to arrive, and the gaming world was rapidly moving into the 16-bit era.

Yet the legendary Commodore 64 was still fighting on.

Originally launched back in 1982, the C64 had already become one of the best-selling home computers ever made, and bundles like this helped keep it relevant right into the early 1990s.

Unlike most British C64 games, which loaded from cassette tape, Terminator 2 came on cartridge, giving near-instant loading and a much more console-like experience.

A brilliant piece of gaming history, tied to one of the biggest films of the decade, and a fantastic reminder of the moment the 8-bit and 16-bit worlds briefly overlapped.
