Food with silly faces? Check. A gorgeous little riso print by a local artist? Check. Oh but wait, it’s ALSO a blind box with two for the price of one? CHECK!!!

Yup, you choose the design on the outside, but lurking hidden inside is a surprise print pal waiting for you (or a friend) scratching both the “I WANT THAT ONE” part of your brain and the tiny dopamine thrill of a lucky dip all at once.

I couldn’t think of anything more SILLY appropriate tbh.

IT’S THE FIRST EVER SILLY TAKEOVER and of COURSE it’s with local faves 🧡✨

One of the very first brands I wanted to stock in SILLY and genuinely one of the biggest cheerleaders behind the scenes too, from stocking the shelves to literally building them!!! I’m absolutely buzzing for them to be my first official pop up takeover!

So from 28th - 31st May SILLY will officially become PONKYWORLD filled with our fav derpy faced pots, silly holders, creatures and all sorts of glorious bits and things and such!

They’ll also be raiding the SILLY stockroom and curating their own favourite treasures while I’m away in Scotland for my bestie’s wedding.

Honestly couldn’t imagine a sillier takeover if we tried. What pieces are you hoping make an appearance?! 🧡 👀

NEW IN SILLY the most beautiful vintage French wooden marionettes 🤩🧡

Tiny outfits! Tiny painted faces! Tiny strings for tiny dramatic performances, I’d even like to fashion one as a SILLY bolero tie 👔

The cat was snapped up immediately (understandably star quality) but the dog, cow, pig, bear and bunny are all still hanging around at SILLY both literally and emotionally!

April marked SIX MONTHS OF SILLY and what a month it was 🥹🧡

Not to be dramatic but building something you love while it’s gets covered by scaffolding at the start of high season in a seaside town is…character building, but we didn’t let us stop doing the bits n’ such!

New silly things landed, silly ideas came to life (thanks ) and the shop kept doing what it does best: bringing joy, fun treasures and all the forgotten stories that come with them!

We might be in the shade for another month or so, but we won’t let it steal our sunshine! More SILLY, more trinket trading, more joy and more bits and things and such than ever!

THANK YOU FOR BEING SILLY WITH ME! I truly feel like I’ve found my purpose here 🥹🧡

First weekend of trinket trading here in Margate and my goodness you lot did NOT disappoint! 👏🤩🧡✨

The swaps were swapping, the trinkets were trinketing and even some local artists were getting in the mix!! Truly, it’s been so magical to see, AND ITS ONLY JUST THE BEGINNING!!!!

The SILLY Margate Trinket Trade box is up and running all day, everyday, so don’t forget to bring a silly lil something to swap on your next trip here!

And a GREAT BIG thank you to everyone that has stopped by and traded so far, here’s to all the future stories and swapping our silly little bits and things and such! 🧡✨

🚨THE SILLY TRINKET TRADE BOX IS LAUNCHING THIS SATURDAY!!!! ✨

After weeks of anticiPATION the trinket box is up and almost ready for its ribbon cutting THIS SATURDAY outside SILLY at 12pm 🎉

Silly has always been half about the silly little bits and things and such and half about the stories that come with them, so after enjoying all the London trading shinanigans put together, I was inspired to bring one to Margate!

From this weekend, whenever you’re in town you can bring a trinket, swap it and leave with something that meant something to someone else first! LIKE THE SISTERHOOD OF THE TRAVELING TRINKET!!! 😭

It lives outside the shop and will be open all hours so it’s largely running on trust and shared silly energy, so be good and respect the rules! I will be lurking (and replenishing) 👀

I honestly can’t wait to see what ends up in there AND the stories that unfold behind them all, who’s coming to trade trinkets?!
