Well, there’s no membership to come to PoFfles and you’ll always find a smiling face,… fact! Even when are are melting and wilting with the extreme heat there’s smiles and laughter!

Due to the forecast predicted this week, I’ll be monitoring my kitchen temperatures and will pause/stop hot food at very short notice and if it becomes unsafe, close at short notice. The wellbeing of my PoFfles family, and myself, is my priority, thank you for your understanding … 💛🤎 ☀️

From Sweet to Savoury, from Fruit to Chilli and Cheese, at PoFfles we’ve got your Scone fix covered. We’re launching a new addition to PSC (PoFfles Scone Club) on Tuesday and, well, you’ll just have to pop in and curb your curiosity as to what,.. won’t you?

At just £2.50 per scone (yep you read that correctly), they’re PoFfletastic value! I’ve seen some places charge near double so each to their own but our ethos is always quality and quality at a price we’d be prepared to pay if we was a customer … (which we are of course 😂)… 💛🤎

I’ll let you guys finish singing the rest but running your own business certainly isn’t a 9-5! A little bit of sad news to share that my after close and evening events are being put on hold for the remainder of 2026. Pre booked after close High-Tea’s will still be taking place but I simply cannot sustain my current working hours. I know this will bring some sadness to those who love Craft Club and Quiz Night, alongside all the other awesome things we’ve entertained this year, so your understanding and respect is appreciated …. they I’ll be back in 2027 at some point 💛🤎…

After close today, our Mini PoFflers arrived for a cake decorating session. From piggies, to beaches, to hedgehogs to a the love heart DIY finale,… what a gorgeous bunch of polite, fun and enthusiastic youngsters. Children keep it real, they say it as they see it, they sugar coat nothing, other than these sweet treats! Thank you to the parents and family who support me and my little dream.

Now,… I’m finally home and I can smell liver juice 🍺 🍷 ,…. I think I deserve it .. 💛🤎🧁

Home, 24 hours earlier than planned, Shaun returns to PoFfles tomorrow and boy have I missed him. The Pot Washing, Baby Sitting, Tea Drinking Legend don’s his apron again,…. mind you, the lucky sod is off on holiday number four in a few weeks!

Precisely, exactly, 61 weeks ago I married my Best Friend! These were my wedding nails, classic and simple, a bit like me 😝!

Thank you to the beaut that is Liz Kay Laser Mansfield, the one that transforms my nails into these wonders (nails are models own btw 💅)! My hands spend most of the day in gloves, and it’s my one luxury treat “to me”, “from me”. My treat was yesterday, shoes and clothes do nothing for me, gimme gorgeous nails any day.

I’ve so many amazing and supportive women in my life who run their own business but this one is a shout out to you Liz, you’re not just that, you’re so much more than that and someone I’m blessed to call my friend. We chat, we laugh, we listen, we sometimes cry,… the best therapy and we all need a Liz in our life…

I’ve just got home, the first thing is cuddles and a debrief with “The Boss” aka Dolly 🐾 then I really need to eat and try and get some shut eye!

💛🤎The past few weeks have been beyond busy, and every day I’m feeling sooooo tired, exhausted doesn’t even cut it,….. but,…… I don’t have to have everything figured out, I just need to keep moving forward! I always survived by the mantra “physician heal thyself”, well this old girl needs to listen to her body a bit more.

I always say I don’t do staged or picture perfect photos, this is a classic example, well guys the eye bags are for real, lifetime membership 😝. I am incredibly privileged to be working on something I always dreamed of, but it doesn’t mean you don’t feel burnt out. To every single small business owner, I salute you, it’s a f**king tough gig … 💛🤎

PS: where would we be without caffeine ….
