When I was little (age, not height - I'm still little) my Grandma taught me how to knit by hand, and.my Mum taught me to machine knit...So, since my trip back to Blackpool last Saturday, I now have in my possession THIS. It's Freestyle 2. Growing up, Mum had a Knitmaster machine with the rubber bed, and Inarsia carriage for her design patterns. A right noisy thing it was an all, but she loved it, so did I when she taught me how to use it. I never 'got' why she was so enthralled in a shop, full of all kinds of funny looking wool, that resembled Christmas trees without their decs. Now I'M the one enthralled in said shops. THIS machine was, is, and always will be my Mum's. I took her to buy it from a shop in Thornton, the day I passed my driving test. I never used this one. Now, thanks to my eldest daughter Rhiannon, I got a little piece of my Mum back with me. Sorry for the ramble but it's quite emotional for me. Just need Mum here to show me how to use the darn thing 💗
