Design Internship ... 2017 - 2018

We are looking for a student to join us full time from this Summer for a 12 month placement within our Design & Artworking team!

Details below ...

norma&dorothy is a paper goods brand based in Manchester’s Northern Quarter. We create rustic inspired hand-crafted stationery, specialising in wedding stationery and greetings cards. We are currently looking for an enthusiastic and talented student to join our design and artworking team on a full time basis for 12 months.

Duties to include:
- Creating accurate digital proofs from existing designs to send to our wedding customers
- Preparing approved designs for print and uploading approved artworks to our printing supplier
- Communicating with customers via email and adapting existing design files based on the customer’s brief
- Quality check printed products against approved artwork
- Design research and inspiration for new collections
- Helping with small design tasks such as graphics for the website and marketing

Candidates should:
- Be studying for a degree or equivalent and be on a placement year
- Have a strong knowledge of Adobe Illustrator and Photoshop
- Have a keen interest in working within the stationery and paper goods industry
- Strong portfolio that demonstrates an eye for colour, layout and typography
- Enjoy working with paper based products and print design
- Have exceptional communication and organisational skills
- Highly motivated and able to work to tight deadlines with accuracy and precision
- Strong work ethic and positive attitude
