From handmade ceramics, prints, leather goods and jewellery to cards, homeware and one-of-a-kind artworks, our makers’ studios are full of thoughtful gifts for every kind of dad.

If you’re planning a visit to the Centre over the next couple of weeks, please note that will be closed from today, Friday 19 June, until the 3 July while Fred’s enjoy a VERY well-deserved holiday 🎉

During this time, we’re delighted to welcome who will be parked just outside the Centre from Tuesday, 23 June, serving speciality coffee, hot drinks and treats from their beautiful coffee van.

Did you know the Centre is available to hire for events?

From weddings and celebrations to launches, networking events, creative workshops and private gatherings, our Victorian market building offers a unique setting in the heart of the Northern Quarter.

The combination of historic architecture, independent creative businesses and a central Manchester location makes it a little different from your typical event venue.

Our building has quite the story 🐠

Built in 1873 as part of Manchester’s Smithfield Markets, the Centre has been home to Manchester Craft & Design Centre since 1982.

Today, the old market hall is filled with independent makers, artists and creative businesses, but many of its original features remain.
