I took a little pause from this space in a business sense. It started to feel like creativity was being boxed in, with too many “shoulds” about how to show up and what to post. Intentional content has always mattered to me, and I wasn’t quite sure what role I wanted to play in where social for business seemed to be heading. I want to continue to share things simply because I love them. Not because I should. Not because the algorithm nudged me. Just because they feel good.

This little Galentine’s edit came together between naps and packing boxes. My home is being renovated, and things are starting to get packed up, so the only tables I am laying are in all the lovely edits from our image bank. And I really enjoy putting these together.

Tea. Biscuits. Breakfast bits. Girls in green jackets. Jewellery you don’t save for “best”. I’ve handpicked a few images of pieces that felt right for this. Thoughtful, easy, the kind of things you’d gift a friend or keep for yourself, nothing shouty.

There’s something about shopping for the breakfast bits before laying a table for the girls that feels very me at the moment. A little bit romantic in the most ordinary way. Anyway… this edit made me happy ♥️

I want to wish everyone a happy New Year, and a very restful start to the season 🤎

We were much quieter on here than I felt we should have been throughout the Christmas peak, and that sense of pressure has been sitting uncomfortably with me. While the team was incredibly busy in-store, I was juggling being a new mum alongside running a business, and I spent a lot of time thinking about the role this platform plays for me and for our business.

Sonny is seven months old now, and every time my phone is in my hand, he wants it. That again makes me feel uncomfortable. While many aspects of the business have been handed over as we’ve grown, there are still parts that feel deeply personal and important in ensuring we don’t become a faceless business. So how can I make it work?

I want to take January to figure that out, maybe a little longer. To think about how I want to use Instagram for business moving forward. I’m protecting my attention while my son is learning what matters.

We have so much beautiful work here, and so much more ready and waiting to share, but life is busy right now with the things that really matter.

I’m looking forward to some reflection and can’t wait to catch-up soon.

A gentle return after a few days of rest and time with family for our team 🤎

We’re open 11 - 4 today, 10 - 5 on the 29th & 30th, closed on the 31st and 1st of January, then back to normal.

With the addition of two new little people this year, it’s been a big one for us, and a special one. We want to take a moment to thank everyone who has supported the business, especially through the last six weeks, which always seem to pass in a blink after months of planning.

Our team is ready for a rest, some family time, and to slow things down for a few days. Before that, we want to say a massive thank you to our customers, community, stockists, and suppliers.
